須具全民英檢中高級初試成績始得選課。G202綜合班。首次視聽劇場未到課未請假視同放棄。上課地點：視聽館105/202/206教室。中文授課英文書籍。限學士班二年級以上。

課程目標 |
This online English program is designed to help students improve their English listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills through different task-based learning activities and online study. A variety of communicative activities and exercises will be provided to motivate students to keep learning English. The course will place a special focus on the development of listening and reading comprehension as well as lexico-grammatical knowledge. Weekly reading and listening assignments and practices will enable the students to enhance their English ability. |

課程要求 |
1. You have to come to class on time and actively participate in all class activities.
* If you are 10 (or longer) minutes late for class, you’ll be marked “late” on the attendance sheet.
(845f) 0.5 point off from your final course grade
(上課遲到十分鐘以上, 計遲到一次, 一次遲到扣學期總平均0.5分)
* If you are 30 (or longer) minutes late for class or if you do not show up, you’ll be marked “absent” on the attendance sheet.
(845f) 2 points off from your final course grade
(上課遲到三十分鐘以上或未出席 計缺席一次, 一次缺席扣學期總平均2分)
* If you are marked “absent” six (or more) times, you will not pass this course.
(本學期缺課達六次以上者 本課程學期成績 將以不及格計分)
* If you cannot come to the class meeting for a good reason, please obey the following rules:
1) 公假與產假: 最慢請於三日前, email告知任課老師與TA, 並備學校公文或醫師看診證明. 所缺考的部分, 可於請假完畢的一星期內找TA補考. 未能補考者, 一律以零分計算. 另外須於上課當日繳交的作業, 須先請同學代為繳交. 或於請假完畢的一星期內補繳, 若未能於一星期內補交者, 一律以零分計算. (註: 有事先請公假或產假, 且任課老師有准假者, 不予扣分)
2) 病假: 最慢請於當日上課前, email告知任課老師與TA. 並於請假完畢一星期內, 備醫師或看診證明向老師與TA請假. 所缺考的部分, 可於請假完畢的一星期內找TA補考. 未能補考者, 一律以零分計算. 另外須於上課當日繳交的作業, 須先請同學代為繳交, 或於請假完畢的一星期內補繳. 若未能於一星期內補交者, 一律以零分計算. (註: 有附證明請病假, 且任課老師有准假者, 不予扣分. 但除非特殊狀況並附醫師證明, 且已獲任課老師准假者, 本學期病假不得請超過三次(含)以上, 超過三次(含)以上又無正當理由者, 仍以曠課論)

2. You should finish weekly homework and preview the assigned readings before class. Late papers/assignments are unacceptable. No credit will be awarded to papers/assignments coming in one (or longer) week late.

3. You have to work on a conversation plan with your group members and practice speaking English
at least once a week.
4. You are required to work closely with your group members to do all group assignments.
5. Please keep your cell phone off during the class meeting.

(83dc) Group presentation: 5% (分成十組做分組報告, 每組用ppt報告一篇extended reading)
(83dc) Group discussion: 4% (分成十組, 分組與TA作一次英文會話與討論練習. 本學期內各組可選擇再與TA多做一次會話練習, 該次成績可再加5~10分, 但以一次為限)
(83dc) Tell Me More: 4% (共計兩次, 本學期於前兩次階段考當日各繳交一份成績單, 須達350分以上, 分數轉換如下: 350~399: 70; 400~449: 75; 450-499: 80; 500~549: 85; 550~599: 90; 600~649: 95; 650 or higher: 100 可多做不同單元的練習. 每多做一個單元, 該次Tell Me More成績可加5分, 最高加至100分為止)
(83dc) My ET: 4% (共計兩次, 本學期於前兩次階段考當日, 各繳交一份<指定作業>中最好的成績紀錄)
(83dc) Friends: 4% (共計兩次, 本學期於前兩次階段考當日觀看影片後, 於隔週上課時繳交)
(83dc) E-touch: GEPT: 2% (只須做一次的測驗, 請在我的行事曆底下做測驗, 而非在GEPT練習區並於June 7前完成測驗, 可多做幾次不同的測驗. 每多一次, 該次成績可再加5分, 未免成績未傳至任課老師, 請將成績列印出來, 交與老師)
